Genea-blogger Group games -rain- and living people..
I did actually reach my goals in the «game» – but things happens and some times more important things than genealogy and ancestors. Sounds strange maybe….. so my participation was not as wholeheartedly as I wanted to.
Because – this week a friends young relatives needed our attention – «our» – or «we» in this matter refers to me and my friends Liv and Liv on our favourite chat, a genealogy chat mostly in Norwegian. I am not going to write to much about the kids and their needs, other than that they needed our whole attention for some days (actually some weeks, but it really escalated this weekend). And, together with attention, also thoughts, feelings, brains and everything else you need to use, to be a friend.
So – I am sorry to say that I did not put my heart into the games this year, at least the last week, but I learned a lot, and found some great blogs, bookmarked and added into my «must read» – feed. One of my main goals was to get some sources cited, and actually the list of people with no source-information on them, the list now 200 persons shorter! And, more than 50 of those sources I had to look up again, re-read, transcribe or translate, and then get them into my Legacy database. Lots of work, fun fun fun!
Maybe I should go out in the rain and dance in the street?

Congratulations on your medals! I’m impressed with the extraordinary efforts put out by all the participants. A special thanks to Thomas, Miriam and Kathryn for their efforts organizing both the Genea-Bloggers group and these games. What a wonderful way to build community!
