Rootstech 2018
I had not planned to go to Salt Lake City this year for Rootstech and Norwegian Lag week. But two days ago I re-decided and booked my plane-ticket, hotel room at Radisson, and registered for Rootstech2018.
I have read (but did not really learn anything new) Tyler Stahle’s Survival guide to Rootstech, and I have downloaded the Rootstech App so I can plan the days. I am so excited! You really have to prepare for such a big event, or you will just be confused and waste time running around.
One person I really hope to talk to, is Nathan Dylan Goodwin, the author of the books about Forensic genealogist Morton Farrier. He has his own booth this year – along with 170 others…..
I hope to meet many of my good friends, and make new ones, To go to as many classes and lectures as I can, and to see the Keynote speakers – especially Henry Louis Gates Jr as the on Saturday. He is the host and genealogist in «Finding Your Roots», one of my favorite genealogy series.
